02 Water Treatment
Ebonex® electrodes have delivered exceptional performance in water sterilization and direct oxidation of halogenated organics since the late 1990’s. We demonstrated that Ebonex® electrodes were effective in both anodic oxidation and hydroxyl free radical neutralization of toxic oxy-anions fluorinated and chlorinated hydrocarbons, e-coli and cryptosporidium contamination.
We leveraged the unique properties of our materials to develop novel, high-performance cells and complete packaged treatment systems. With the broader acceptance that PFAS and other intractable pollutants are often best suited to electrochemical de-contamination, we have expanded this business stream and our reach with strategic partnerships.

03 Micro-Electronics
Conductive ceramics such as Magneli Phase sub-oxides of transition metals (Ti, Nb, W, etc) and Perovskite-like mixed metal oxides have become important materials of interest for a new class of switchable electronic devices.
Originally evaluated as the basis for “Memristors” these material are now potentially important in the rapidly resurging field of analogue computing - for machine learning and high-speed process control
